The Coalition for At-Risk Skin (CARS) is delighted to welcome Dr. Liesl Patetta to its Board of Directors. A board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical and surgical dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Duke University, Dr. Patetta brings deep clinical expertise and a patient-centered philosophy to the coalition.

Dr. Patetta specializes in medical and surgical dermatology, with clinical interests in the management of complex skin conditions and a particular focus on hidradenitis suppurativa. She is recognized for her expertise in inflammatory dermatoses and in skin cancer detection and treatment.

Dr. Patetta is passionate about providing personalized, empathetic dermatologic care. Her patient-centered approach pairs clinical rigor with genuine attention to each person's experience, an outlook that aligns closely with the CARS mission to protect at-risk skin with both evidence and compassion.
