Board Member Spotlight: Nancy Munoz, a national leader in clinical nutrition and Veteran care. 

Nancy Munoz is the Supervisory Dietitian and Chief for Nutrition and Food Service at the Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System, overseeing care for 72,000 Veterans. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers, a Masters from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's from Marymount College. She is an accomplished author and lecturer and has received numerous awards, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Medallion Award.

Nancy Munoz, DCN, MHA, RDN, FAND, brings more than clinical expertise to the Coalition for At-Risk Skin (CARS) — she brings a deep, systems-based understanding of how nutrition intersects with skin health in real-world patient care.

As the Supervisory Dietitian and Chief of Nutrition and Food Services at the Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System, Nancy oversees nutrition care for over 72,000 Veterans. Her work supports vulnerable populations, including older adults and individuals with complex chronic conditions who are at higher risk for skin breakdown and wound complications.
