Board Member Spotlight: Dr. Noreen Heer Nicol, an internationally recognized nurse scientist and expert in atopic dermatitis, skin health, and dermatology nursing.
Noreen Heer Nicol is Professor Emerita at the University of Colorado. She also practiced at Children’s Hospital Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver. Dr. Nicol’s nursing career spans over 45 years as a nurse practitioner (NP), nurse executive, and nurse educator. She is a recognized international expert on atopic dermatitis and skin health and a Past President of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Publications include more than 150 articles and textbook chapters.

Dr. Noreen Heer Nicol, PhD, RN, FNP, NEA-BC, brings more than four decades of visionary leadership in dermatology, nursing science, and clinical practice. With extensive clinical experience at Children’s Hospital Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver, Dr. Nicol is known for her deep expertise in atopic dermatitis, pediatric skin conditions, and evidence-based dermatology nursing.
