She received training in General Surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine and fellowship training in Burn Surgery at the University of Tennessee-Memphis and University of Kansas Medical Center. She is board-certified in wound care by the American Board of Wound Management and the American Board of Wound Healing. She is an award-winning member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), serving and leading several committees. Maryann P Hartzell is a board-certified Foot Surgeon practicing in Pennsylvania with over thirty years of experience in foot and ankle surgery and conservative and surgical management of diabetic and peripheral vascular wounds. Dr. Hartzell has practiced wound management in acute care, outpatient wound centers, private offices, and post-acute care. She is a certified wound specialist with the American Academy of Wound Management and is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Joanne M Labiak is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner (CRNP, CWON, CWS) with over 35 years of experience providing wound and ostomy care across the continuum of care. She is the sole proprietor/owner of Certified Wound Care Specialists LLC, delivering consultative and direct patient care for wound and ostomy challenges in post-acute care including organizational consultation and education, as well as expert witness related to pressure injury and wound care. Joanne is also employed in hospice, providing physical assessments and end-of-life recommendations for care.

Jeanine Maguire is a physical therapist and certified wound specialist. She received her PhD in 2022 in Health Education and Promotion, focusing on wound management. Jeanine consults for start-ups and the industry. She co-founded the Post-Acute Wound and Skin Integrity Council (PAWSIC) and was elected as a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Jeanine is a board member of the Eastern PA Geriatric Society, a committee member for the Coalition of At-Risk Skin, a planning committee member and speaker for the Symposium of Advanced Wound Care, and an ambassador for the American Academy of Wound Care.
Catherine T Milne is employed by Connecticut Clinical Nursing Associates, Cathy is an Advanced Practice WOC Nurse in active clinical practice in the acute, long-term, home health, and outpatient settings. She enjoys improving wound and skin outcomes, conducts clinical research, lectures nationally and internationally, has published extensively in the WOC field, and is a clinical instructor for the Yale School of Nursing. She has served as a Board Member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care.
Ottamissiah (Missy) Moore is a certified hospice Nurse and End-of-Life Doula from Washington, D.C. Missy collaborates with national organizations such as the National Alliance for Wound Care and Ostomy and currently serves as the board president. Ms. Moore has been honored with numerous national awards for her contributions to the nursing field, including the 2014 Hospice LPN of the Year from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, the 2012 Community Nurse of the Year from the National Black Nurses Association, and the 2012 Lillian Küster Award from the National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses.
Nancy Munoz is the Supervisory Dietitian and Chief for Nutrition and Food Service at the Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System, overseeing care for 72,000 Veterans. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers, a Masters from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's from Marymount College. She is an accomplished author and lecturer and has received numerous awards, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Medallion Award.
Matilda Nicholas graduated from UC Davis and joined a biotech company in San Diego, conducting research on G-protein Coupled Receptors for four years before returning to school. She completed the MD/PhD program at UNC where she studied the role of B cells in lupus, obtaining her doctorate in immunology. She completed a preliminary year in pediatrics and a residency in dermatology at UNC. She is now a Professor of Dermatology and Rheumatology, Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for Dermatology, and Co-Director of the Immunodermatology Clinic at Duke.
Noreen Heer Nicol is Professor Emerita at the University of Colorado. She also practiced at Children’s Hospital Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver. Dr. Nicol’s nursing career spans over 45 years as a nurse practitioner (NP), nurse executive, and nurse educator. She is a recognized international expert on atopic dermatitis and skin health and a Past President of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Publications include more than 150 articles and textbook chapters.
Jayesh B Shah is the recipient of the Gold Award for Wound Hygiene Implementation issued by JWC WUWHS Awards (2022), Lifetime Achievement Award (2020) Diabetes Research Award (2019) Paul James Sheffield Education Award for Lifetime Dedication to Education in the field of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine (2014); Jefferson C. Davis Memorial Award for Excellence in Clinical Hyperbaric Medicine (2007 and 2011); Carolyn Sue Award (2009); Young Scientist/Medical Doctor Award (2008).
Monica Timko-Progar is currently the CEO of Timko-Progar Wound and Skin Care Consultants LLC. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in 1983, she has spent most of her career in the Home Health Care and Hospice industry since 1985. She has served in many roles and most recently functioned as the Corporate Assistant Vice President of Wound Care Excellence for Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Care for 15 years.
Kevin Woo is a Full Professor at Queen’s University, Faculty of Health Sciences in Kingston, Ontario. He is an adjunct research professor at Western University. He is an affiliate Scientist at the Institute for Education Research (TIER), University Health Network in Toronto. He is the Research Program Lead for the Nurses Specializes in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (NSWOC) Canada and the Chair for the Joint Research Ethics Board for West Park Health Center and Toronto Grace Health Center in Toronto. He is the founding president of the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel.
